I'm planning to read "A High Wind in Jamaica" by Richard Hughes. It is described on Amazon as being "not so much a book as a curious objuct". I've also recently read "Geek Love" by Katherine Dunn which I think everyone might like, or "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" by Jonathan Foer is a good discussion book. Good luck finding a book!
